Part P of the Building Regulations came into effect 1st Jan 2005, and was introduced to protect property owners from electrical fires, injury and even death caused by incorrect DIY electrical work carried out by unqualified inexperienced installers.
As we are covered by an accredited self certifying scheme, the NICEIC. We are certified to issue Electrical Installation Certificates and Minor Works Certificates, any additions of modifcations to electrical circuit you will require an Electrical Installation Certificate.
Certifcation is required for any of the following:
- New circuit
- A re-wire of existing electrical installation
- Alterations such as replacing comsumer unit
- A complete new installation
